We Stayed Dry Today

sosSo, we took the weekend off from Mosport. The odds against us making it there were stacked, almost like fate had decided that Mosport wouldn't be a good place for us to go at this point. Truck and trailer gremlins, a car that is still being rehabbed from the turn 12 crash at Road Atlanta and a host of other odds and ends, details and nuances that needed to be taken care of. In a way it's good, with the weather being what it is up there, and the mayhem that was race one, the probability that we'd have been mixed up in a less-than-desirable situation are pretty high. Of course even so, I'm not exactly excited about missing a race weekend.

Luckily that doesn't mean we've been sitting idle. No, not with the crew and team I have. They are full speed ahead every day 100%. So much so I can't always keep up, and one of the greatest groups of guys you could ever want to work with. Lots and lots and LOTS of time and work have been invested into the car, specifically the crash damage and some updates. While we got out for race two at Road Atlanta, she was not happy. A woman scorned, etc. I drove it as hard as I could and it just wasn't there. Turns out I had about 80% throttle and the rear wing had fallen over backwards and was twisted because our spare transmission cover had some issues. Essentially I was towing a parachute behind me. All that has been fixed and then some. New Radon diffuser and rear wing plates, some spray paint and a whole crap load of hard work and time invested has paid off: My first test and tune session, and possibly a club race next weekend.

Also, other big news is that our friends at The RaceHouse have enlisted a new driver for the next two races: Stevan McAleer. Tad Uzzle and Michael Witson are getting him into a car that since being properly sorted is an absolute ROCKET SHIP. The maintenance and attention to detail that went into this car I can't begin to describe to you. The car is beautiful, and it pulls like a freight train. I have no doubt that Stevan will make a hell of a splash in the F2000 Championship Series.
So that's my update for now, on this Mosport weekend.

Oh, and say hello to the new team dog, Luna.
